Giant Tiger expansion offered fun, supported Youth Services

The Giant Tiger mascot welcomed shoppers to the expanded retail store in Bolton Saturday.
Bolton's Giant Tiger store celebrated the completion of their recent expansion and the entire community came out Saturday to have fun, and support Caledon Youth Services.

The fun-filled day offered plenty of free activities for kids of all ages including free face painting, balloons, treats, temporary tiger tattoos, in-store specials, the rock wall, and even a visit from the Giant Tiger himself! Giant Tiger hosted a barbecue where customers purchased a drink and a hot dog for $1 with all the proceeds going to Youth Services.

Bolton's Giant Tiger originally just over 9,500 square feet has expanded to more than 12,800 square feet, making the store bigger and better for customers. Giant Tiger in Bolton is an all- Canadian discount store that sells a large assortment of clothing and footwear, including many of the latest fashion items at the lowest possible prices. Giant Tiger carries everyday needs such as groceries, confectionery, health and beauty products, cleaning and pet supplies, home fashions, and toys all at their famous everyday low prices.

Members of Caledon Youth Services manned the BBQ. They received the proceeds from the day's sales.
Giant Tiger, Canada's leading junior discount store chain, was established in 1961 in Ottawa's Byward Market and has grown to 172 locations in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and New Brunswick. Giant Tiger Stores Limited is a privately held Canadian company.
Annie Lynn the Clown was on hand at Giant Tire Saturday for their re-opening celebration. Many children left with prized balloon animals.
