Man charged with assault at house party

Caledon OPP officers responded to 20 property damage and six personal injury collisions during the week of May 14-21.

High Miler

of the Week

Sunday, May 20 at roughly 2:41 p.m., PC Girouard of Caledon OPP observed a motor vehicle traveling at an extreme high rate of speed on Highway 10 near The Grange Sideroad in Caledon. Forty-four-year old Urs Bolliger of Caledon was charged with Speeding-150 km/hour in an 80-km/hour posted zone. Court date for the 70-kilometre over charge is set for June 28.

Alcohol & Driving

Monday, May 14 21-yearold Andy Kozubik of Caledon was charged with Impaired Driving, Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle following his arrest on Regional Road 50 and McEwan Drive in Bolton. Court date is set for June 14.

Tuesday, May 15, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Kennedy Road. The vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a fence and a tree on a residential property. The vehicle's driver, 36- year-old Scott Mitchell of Caledon was charged with Impaired Driving, Failure to Provide Breath Sample and Fail to Comply with Recognizance X2. Court date has been set for May 31.

Thursday, May 17, a routine traffic stop on Mississauga Road and Bush Street resulted in the arrest of the vehicle's driver, 42- year-old Richard Moore of Erin. Moore was charged with Failure to Provide Breath Sample and Having Control of a Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor. He will appear in court June 21.

Assault

Wednesday, May 16, two counts of assault were laid against 21-year-old Matthew Regent of Caledon following the investigation of a dispute which occurred at a house party on Mill Lane the prior weekend. He will appear in court June 21.

Break & Enter

Wednesday, May 16, a garage of a Chickadee Lane residence in Bolton was entered during the night hours. A lock was cut to gain entry to the garage. Tools have been reported stolen.

Drugs Tuesday, May 15, 28- year-old Patryk Suszko of Maple was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marihuana following a R.I.D.E. spot check on King Street near Humberlea Road in Bolton. Court date has been set for June 18.

Thursday, May 17, a routine traffic stop on Pinnacle Street near Main Street in Belfountain resulted in a charge for the driver. Thirtyyear old Lucas MacLean of Mississauga was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marihuana and will appear in court June 18.

Friday, May 18, two males were charged following a traffic stop on Airport Road. Twenty-two-year-old Matthew Bidwell of Brampton and 20-year-old Sherwyn Beard of Brampton have both been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marihuana and will both appear in court June 18.

Friday, May 18, a female passenger in a vehicle stopped on Airport Road was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marihuana. Eighteen-yearold Ashley Harvey will appear in court June 25 in answer to the charge.

Mischief

Monday, May 14, several school buses were damaged over the weekend while parked in a business parking lot on Airport Road.

Wednesday, May 16, vandals damaged playground equipment at Inglewood Community Centre. The wooden stairs and platform area were destroyed.

Friday, May 18, a vehicle parked at a Fountainbridge Drive residence was damaged by spray paint sometime overnight.

Stolen Vehicle

Wednesday, May 16, a vehicle was reported stolen from a retail business parking lot on McEwan Drive while the vehicle's owner was shopping. The theft of the vehicle occurred sometime between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.

Friday, May 18, sometime overnight, a locked vehicle was stolen from the driveway of an Autumn Oak Court residence in Bolton.

Saturday, May 19, a pickup truck was reported stolen after the owner returned to the location of where it was last parked to find it missing. The truck had been parked in a lot off of Charleston Sideroad near McLaren Road. The vehicle was stolen between the hours of 7 and 9:30 a.m.

Theft

Tuesday, May 15, a generator was reported stolen from a construction site on McEwan Drive in Bolton. The theft occurred sometime overnight.

Saturday, May 19, a brand new patio set, still in the box, was reported stolen from the garage of a Crestridge Drive residence in Bolton.

Criminal Charges

Thursday, May 17, a driver stopped at a R.I.D.E. spot check on King Street near Winston Churchill Blvd. was subsequently charged with Drive Disqualified. Forty-one year old, Thomas Suljic of Tottenham will appear in court June 21.
