Teams finding their legs in ball hockey loop

The third week of IBHL action had all teams beginning to come together.

May 8

Mr. Handyman 3,

Carney Plumbing 1

Pasquale Chiapetta netted a brace for the Handyman squad while Eddy Hurley added the other. Helpers went to Shawn Cerveira, Quincy Trim, Steve Ceizler, Claudio Ramalo and Paul Medeiros. Carney's sniper was Chris Taylor from Shawn Kane and Bob McHardy.

Valleywood Longhorns 5,

Freezerland 2

Valleywood vale men were Andrew Parps from Domenic D'Ettore and Matt Mazzaferro, Mike Sagona from Matt McKay and Parps, McKay from Matt DeSales, Adam Minatel from McKay and Lucas Simonetta, and Minatel from Parps and DeSales. Freezerland firers were Sean Sparks from Corey and Perry Cullihall, and Mike Murphy from Jason Cullihall.

Lockyer Harrison Law 4,

B. Andrews

Truck Centre 3

Law lamp-lighters were Mitch Nail, Stuart Morowski (2), and Kyle Sousa. Assists were from Sousa, Dave Slokar, Luke Maxwell, Mike Garvie and Trevor Rotenberg.

B. Andrews' goal getters were Ryan Osmond (unassisted), Dion Stuckless from Ross Porter, and Korbin Purchase Sr. from Osmond and Korbin Jr.

May 10

Gould Fasteners 6,

B. Andrews Truck 2 Gould goal-grabbers were Rob Horton, Pierre Philipon, Joe D'Sousa, Craig Size, Sean Thompson and Jesse Leitch. Assists were from Steve Corrgia, D'Sousa, Philipon, Paul Felker (goalie), Matt Greco and Dave Stenning. Truck trickers were Ryan Osmond with a brace and assists from Mike Vatcher and Keith Tolmie.

Sports Unlimited 5,

Caledon East

Audio Video 2

In a penalty filled match Sports were able to come out on top and take the win. Scoring for sports were Aiden Maloney, Jon Lee, Adam Montgomery, Rob Sytsma, and Nelson Medeiros. Assists were from Steve Sauve, Lee, Tony Sousa, Maloney, Medeiros, Kelly Lyons, and Lewis. CEAV sharp shooters were Nick Bowes-Henry and Alex Ball, with Brock Hill getting the only assist.

Blue Team 4,

Mr. Handyman 0

Damien Fletcher earned his goose egg of the year with an outstanding performance.

Blue bin bulgers were Craig Shaw from Owen and Wade Speirs, Brad Speirs from Shaw and Wade, Wade from Shaw and Shawn Heron and Heron from Shaw and Wade.

Week two saw two more nights of hot action in IBHL play.

May 1 Lockyer Harrison 5,

Freezerland 1

Kyle Sousa led the charge for the LH Law boys with a counter and 2 helpers. Justin Beraldo, Ryan Wilde, Mike Garvie and Anthony Cancella added the other markers with assists from the sticks of Beraldo, and Matt Cordina. Freezerland's lone marksman was Kristen Hann from Jason Cullihall and Quinton Oatts.

Sports Unlimited 3,

Mr. Handyman 2

In a nail biter Sports' experience came out on top over the young Handyman squad. Jeremy Ciccerelli netted a brace with Tony Sousa adding the winner. Claudio Campoli, Steve Sauve and Nelson Medeiros were awarded the helpers. Handyman hammers were dropped by Steve Ceizler and Kyle Stojisn. Assists went to Bobby Evong, Pat Cerveira and Eddy Hurley.

Valleywood

Longhorns 7,

Gould Fasteners 3

Scoring for Valleywood were Matt McKay, Mike Sagona, Justin Mann and Adam Minatel. Assists went to Minatel, Ryan Spiteri and Matt Mazzaferro. Gould goal getters were Tom Hunter, Craig Size and Sean Thompson with assists from the sticks of Thompson, Joe D'Sousa, Kyle Felker, Hunter and Dave Stemmel.

May 3

Blue 10,

CEAV 1

Scoring for Blue were Ian & Matt Wilkinson, Matt & Wade Speirs, Shaun & Corey Heron, with assists from the Herons, Speirs, Wilkinsons, Craig Shaw and Todd Elson.

Bruce "Muce" Morris got CEAV's only marker with help from Alex Ball and Brock Hill.

Freezerland 5,

Truck Centre 5

In a close one neither team could beat the other as the IBHL has its 1st draw of the year. Net nabbing for Freezerland were Kristen Hann (3g), Paul Medeiros (1g, 1a), Brian Major (1g, 1a), Jason Cullihall (3a), and Corey Cullihall (2a).

B. Andrews' twine ticklers were Junior Gillard (1g), Keith Tolmie (2g), Chris Purchase (1g, 1a), Dion Stuckless (1g, 1a), Robin Anderson (2a), Shawn Bussey (1a) and Tyrone Gordon (1a).

Sports Unlimited 6,

Carney Plumbing 2

Sharpshooters for Sports were Jon Lee (2g, 1a), Jeremy Rahn (1g), Claudio Campoli (1g, 1a), Aiden Maloney (1g, 1a), Nelson Medeiros (1g, 1a), Steve Suave (2a), Kelly Lyons (2a), Adam Montgomery (1a) and Jeremy Ciccerelli (1a).

Carney lamp-lighters were Andrew Taylor (unassisted) and Rob Davidson from Brandon Looby and Mike Zimmerman.
