Facilities policy is adopted

With new facilities coming on, the Town of Caledon will continue with its long-established policies in dealing with use and rental requests.

Inquiries for ice time increased once construction of the new arena in Caledon East began.

There are currently procedures in place to allocate time to user groups based on past rental history.

Facility rental arrangements will be granted in a fair and equitable manner.

Priority will be given to not-for-profit organizations serving youth 18 years of age and under with a minimum of 80 per cent of the participants being Caledon residents.

The group must demonstrate a preference for Caledon residents by offering registration for residents only, up to a set and advertised date.

Priority will also be given to Town of Caledon programs.

Requests from resident organizations offering adult programs will be considered after allotments to minor organizations have been confirmed.
