Breast cancer fund-raiser

The Calendar Girls are having a fund-raising dinner and they would like to invite you to join them at Zaganella's Restaurant in Bolton (McDonald's plaza) June 9 at 6:30 p.m.

Many of The Calendar Girls have participated in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer since its inception and a lot of the women need your support to help them reach their $2,000 goal for this year's walk. This team has raised more than $300,000 over the past four years to help with breast cancer research and they are hoping to raise another $50,000 this year to help the cause.

"We are definitely making a difference in breast cancer research as we see the numbers of survivors increasing on a yearly basis. We also know that if we find a cure for breast cancer, many other types of cancer will benefit from this discovery."

If you can't walk the 60 kilometres, or raise the $2,000 required to enter the walk, help this group with their fund-raiser and they'll do the walking for you. Tickets for the dinner are available at Zaganella's, The Naked Vine, Anker Meats and Charles Printing.
