The board of directors, staff and volunteers of Caledon Community Services wish to announce the retirement of Karen Markham, director of support services.
Over the past 15 years, Karen has dedicated her considerable energies and passion to the supportive housing, respite and transportation programs of Caledon Community Services. She has left an indelible mark on this community and it is richer because of it.
Karen has always had a vision about aging with dignity and independence, and it was through this vision that supportive housing was born in Caledon. Karen also spearheaded the CCS respite program, providing caregiver relief for those taking care of a housebound relative or friend.
All those who have been involved with Karen over the years have valued her wisdom, dedication and commitment to excellence. Those who have been served within the programs she directed have directly benefited from her professionalism.
Please join CCS in celebrating Karen Markham's career at a farewell gathering on May 17 at the CCS offices in the Royal Courtyards (18 King St. E, Bolton) from 3-6 p.m.
In lieu of gifts, a donation can be made to the Susan Cameron Community Service Award.
