Community Living Month
By ALAN LICZYK Staff Reporter

May was recently proclaimed Community Living Month by Caledon council at the request of Brampton Caledon Community Living.

BCCL has provided services to individuals with a developmental disability and their families in Caledon and Brampton since 1958 and provides services to more than 1,300 people.

Leanne Kearney, manager of human resources with BCCL, requested their flag be flown at the Town Hall in Caledon East any time in May.

Keith Dee, director of community services with BCCL, told council Project Lifesaver is finally off the ground. He added they will be having a fund-raiser May 25 at Caledon Country Club.

Mayor Marolyn Morrison applauded BCCL for being a partner in Project Lifesaver. She also thanked BCCL for its role in the Reach for the Rainbow program which she said has enhanced opportunity for children in Caledon.
