Happy birthday, Citizen!

The great humorist Will Rogers said "I only know what I read in the newspaper."

Well, for many of us "old timers" it can be true. The

Caledon Citizen has been a vital part of our daily lives. You have informed us of local events, happenings, comings and goings, good and bad, yes, "news and views" and assistance to our local Caledon highlights for all. I know!

For 25 years you have published my humble efforts to promote the Caledon Concert Band (1974) since its inception; the Caledon Seniors' Centre (1995) since its founding, True Blue Masonic Lodge (1858) and Christ Church Bolton (1844) and many personal and family Bittle highlights.

Once a month you have published our submission for our Caledon Seniors' Centre highlight activities and provided help to us in publicizing our major fund-raising endeavors. I thank you, on their behalf and my own for your community giving and help and look forward to 25 more years of your support to our various organizations and to myself and the many who "only know what they read" in our Caledon Citizen!
