Alton Grange open house

Thursday, April 26 at 7 p.m. the Alton Grange Association will host its annual meeting at the SGI Centre. The theme of this year's meeting is Family Night and the meeting will focus on plants and animals that we see and hear in the Alton Grange property.

Can you identify frogs by their calls? Don Scallen, biology teacher and nature enthusiast, will introduce us to the local frog population.

What can you do to take care of our wetlands? Mark Heaton, award-winning biologist from the Ministry of Natural Resources, will discuss wetlands conservation in the Credit River watershed.

There will be interactive displays on wildlife of the Alton Grange. As well, there will be information on the CVC's Conservation Youth Corp, a great way to complete high school volunteer hours.

The SGI Centre is located at 20490 Porterfield Road (Regional Road 136) north of Alton. For more information and directions, e - m a i l altongrangeassociation@hot mail.com or call Debby at 519-941-7833. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be served.
