Wines of the World event

The Rotary Club of Palgrave will host its 10th annual Wines of the World fund-raising event Friday, June 8 at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave.

"This year our wine tasting evening promises to be best yet," said Bernie Rochon, chair of the charitable event. "We will be adding a third tent to the venue and there will be an outstanding selection of more than 50 wines for sampling. Steve Thurlow, senior editor of Wine Access magazine and a noted oenologist will again provide his expertise in the selection of wines to be showcased."

Ticket prices remain the same, at $35 per person, available in advance from Migrations Travel, Palgrave; Forster's Book Garden, Bolton; Palgrave Café and Coffee Shoppe, Humber Valley Winery, Bolton; The Naked Vine, Bolton; or directly from Palgrave Rotary by calling 905-880-1590 or 519-942-8895. Tickets will not be available at the gate.

"Last year's Wines of the World was an early sell-out, so those planning to attend should book their tickets now," said Rochon. "This year's Wines of the World promises to be a memorable evening with good friends, fine food and wine and the knowledge that the proceeds are going to Rotary service projects in the community and internationally."
