St. Cornelius gathers to help needy

Jo-Anna Lenz, CCS crisis support co-ordinator; Diane Boyd and Mary Perrone of St. Cornelius Catholic School in Caledon East show off the donations to the less fortunate.
Well, these students have taught us something. The generosity of students, staff and families at St. Cornelius School in Caledon East can only be measured in terms of love.

Twenty-one classes from JK to Grade 8 each created a hamper of caring for families in need for the Easter holiday. The hampers contained soccer balls, chocolates, wonderful foods, soups, stuffed bunnies, infant clothing, a fresh ham and a card signed by each student. St. Cornelius created the most valuable lessons for their students and for all of us.

Caledon Community Services is testimony to the reality that when resources are combined and the community works together for a common goal, we all win. Caledon is a community that cares for its own. To learn more about how you can give or volunteer as a family, company or individually, visit the CCS Web site at www.caledoncommunityservices.org.

Together we can do anything!
