Millcroft Inn & Spa honours employees

Martin O'Brien and Clara Shepherd received top employee honours from The Millcroft Inn & Spa.
In March The Millcroft Inn & Spa recently held its annual Employee of the Year Awards event and honoured two if its top employees for 2006.

Every three months The Millcroft's staff complete ballots to select the Employees of the Quarter - one for Front of the House (i.e. employees that interact directly with The Millcroft's customers) and another for Back of the House (i.e. employees that work behind the scenes to make sure The Millcroft's operational needs are met). The employees of the year were then selected from the quarterly winners by staff voting.

The Millcroft's Employees of the Year for 2006 are Clara Shepherd, a server in the Millcroft Dining Room (representing the Front of the House), and Martin O'Brien from the Maintenance Department (representing the Back of the House). Both consistently provide exceptional service and support to the operations of The Millcroft and are very deserving of their awards.

Also in March, The Millcroft Inn & Spa was issued the prestigious AAA/CAA Four Diamond Award for the 19th consecutive year for lodgings, and the 12th consecutive year for dining - a feat largely unmatched throughout North America.

The American Automobile Association (AAA) and the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) created the Four Diamond Award in 1977 for lodgings and in 1989 for restaurants. This internationally recognized rating system represents the overall quality of an establishment and was designed to help members choose accommodations and dining experiences that meet their needs and expectations.

The Four Diamond Award is given to those hotels and restaurants that AAA/CAA's professionally trained field evaluators find to be superior. These establishments are recommended for anyone in search of an upscale experience, whether it be dining or lodging.

The Millcroft Inn & Spa is one of only a handful of establishments in Ontario to be recognized for the quality of both its accommodations and dining facilities and services at this level. It is currently the only establishment in the Hills of Headwaters region that holds this distinction for either category.
