A musical Italian feast at The Humberview
This musical feast to be held at the school Friday, April 20 is guaranteed to delight all of your senses and will subsidize the costs of the music department's participation in the prestigious national finals of Musicfest Canada, held in Richmond, B.C. Guests will be treated to culinary delights along with musical ones, serenaded by the musical stylings of the award-winning the Humberview's Jazz Combo, Jazzork and Mkosa. But that's not all. A silent auction will be a highlight of the evening. "Local businesses have once again shown their generosity and support," said arts head John Chalmers. "We've got a great selection of products and services from a wakeboard, BBQ and fullsize hot tub courtesy of Bolton Beachcomber to a variety of original artwork and an assortment of items sure to please everyone." Beginning at 6 p.m. guests will be able to check out the offerings in the auction or just share a friendly drink with friends. The dinner will begin at 6:30. For the price of $10 ($8 for children 5 to 12 and free for children under 5), guests will be served a pasta dinner with salad, coffee, tea, water and dessert, while a cash bar will offer beer and wine. "We're really proud of the talents and efforts of our students and the fact they have been included in this invitational festival," said Chalmers. "We're really counting on the community to join us for this event." For ticket information for Trattoria Musica, held at the Humberview School beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, April 20, call 905-857-0771, ext. 331 or drop into Bolton Beachcomber to pick up an advance ticket. |
