Caledon OPP Officers responded to 11 property damage and four personal injury collisions during the week of March 26 to April 1.

High Miler

of the Week

Tuesday, March 27, at approximately 8:06 p.m., Caledon OPP officer Ross observed a motor vehicle traveling at an extreme high rate of speed on Old Church Road near Innis Lake Road in Caledon. Fifty-six-yearold Ida Dominelli of Toronto was charged with Speeding- 106 km/hour in a 50- km/hour-community safety posted zone. Court date for the 56-kilometre over charge is set for May 3.

Alcohol & Driving

Saturday, March 31, a vehicle stopped for speeding on Regional Road 50 and Mayfield Road resulted in a criminal charge. Twentyfive year-old John-Phillip Holgate of Caledon was charged with Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood and will appear in court May 3.

Sunday, April 1, 49-yearold Gurdeepsingh Dhami of Brampton was charged with Impaired Driving and Fail to Provide Breath Sample after his arrest at the corner of Old School Road and McLaughlin Road in Caledon. He will appear in court on May 3.

Sunday, April 1, a Highway Traffic Act offence led to criminal charges for the driver of a vehicle stopped at Healey Road near Airport Road. Forty-oneyear old Satnam Sandhu of Mississauga was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. He will appear in court May 10.

Mischief

Tuesday, March 27, three vehicles were damaged while left parked on Longwood Drive in Bolton.

Saturday, March 31, a side mirror was broken off of a vehicle parked overnight on Albert Street in Bolton.

Sunday, April 1, mailboxes and emergency address numbers were reported to have been damaged sometime over the weekend at locations along Airport Road. Another report was received of a mailbox being damaged on Bramalea Road.

Accidental Death

Saturday, March 31, Caledon OPP were called to assist medical and fire emergency services at an address on Mount Hope Road. Tragically, an accident while family members were clearing trees from the property claimed the life of 43-yearold Sandra Butler of Caledon. The sudden death of Mrs. Butler has been ruled accidental. To respect the privacy of the family, police will not be releasing any further details.

Theft

Saturday, March 31, a purse was mistakenly left on a vehicle's trunk before the driver, a 69-year-old female, drove away from a home on Haines Drive in Bolton. Two people observed kids digging through a purse near King Street and Queen Street in Bolton. They approached and the kids fled on foot leaving the found purse behind. The purse was returned to its rightful owner, however, the kids had stolen $300 from the purse.
