After a two-year absence the Inglewood Schoolhouse Performers is returning to the stage with its production of Hotbed Hotel, April 13, 14, 20 and 21 at the Inglewood Community Centre.

Written by Michael Parker and directed by Kathie Maloney, this hilarious adult comedy set in the Florida Keys deals with the tribulations of a financially strapped couple who need to sell their underutilized hotel to a New York businessman. But they have to overcome the missteps of an eccentric British major, a tipsy maintenance man, a clueless maid, and an attractive amorous guest.

Staging the play has required the creation of an elaborate set. Cast members and other volunteers have spent countless hours building, decorating and painting it.

The play will be in cabaret format and performance time is 8 p.m. There will also be a dinner theatre on April 21. Dinner at the Inglewood United Church starts at 6 p.m. Combined dinner and theatre tickets are $27. All other tickets are $15.

Please be advised that because of its content Hotbed Hotel is probably not suitable for children.
