O Canada performed

Councillor Doug Beffort's motion to sing O Canada at the beginning of council meetings was approved by council March 20.

Following approval of the motion, council and the audience stood for the playing and singing of the national anthem. Beffort said they need to celebrate the values of this country. He added they could invite some choirs in to sing the anthem at some of the council meetings.
