Youth killed collision Caledon OPP and emergency service personnel responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Horseshoe Road, north of Beech Grove Side Road Monday, March 19, just before 3 p.m. A red Mazda was northbound on Horseshoe Hills Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to leave the roadway. The vehicle came to a rest in the east side ditch after striking a tree. Tragically, the driver, 18- year-old Peter Coyne of Caledon did not survive and was pronounced at the scene of the collision. A 16-yearold male passenger received minor injuries but was not transported to hospital. OPP Technical Collision Investigators were on scene and the road was closed for several hours while they conducted their investigation.
