New Caledon Library Board

The recently appointed Caledon Public Library Board held its inaugural meeting in February. Chief librarian Bill Manson welcomed all new and returning members.

The election of officers was held. Erica Pratt is the chairman; Preet Kang is the vice-chairman; Virginia Di Lauro will be the board's representative to the Southern Ontario Library Service and Ken Weber will be the board's representative to the Friends of the Caledon Library.

The other board members are Lynda Craig, Mike Stapleton, Elisabeth Zaffino and Councillors Doug Beffort and Allan Thompson.

The board's meetings are open to the public. They will take place the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The meetings will rotate through the seven branches of the Caledon Public Library, reflecting the board's commitment to ensuring that all of Caledon's citizens have access to the best library service.
