Mesley is speaker at luncheon

Mark your calendars for Friday, May, 4, as Big Brothers Big Sisters is pleased to present award- winning broadcast journalist, Wendy Mesley as the keynote speaker for their Women of Peel Luncheon. Don't miss this unique networking opportunity, including a gourmet lunch, silent auction and inspiring presentation by Wendy Mesley. The luncheon will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mississauga Convention Centre, 75 Derry Road South.

Mesley is the co-host of CBC News: Marketplace, CBC Television's award-winning prime-time investigative consumer show. She earned a Gemini Award for her work on CBC's Undercurrents, a program that examined media, marketing and technology. Noted for her energy, tenacity and wit, she is regarded as one of the best interviewers in television. Mesley addresses challenging issues with an edgy, entertaining and informative presentation style. She is sure to inspire, motivate and entertain!

May 4, Mesley will provide the latest insight into TV reporting and how the media is changing their tactics to target youth. As one of Canada's most recognized and respected journalists Wendy strives to uncover what's new, what's exciting, what's wonderful and what's downright scary about our technology and media-saturated society. She will leave you with a clear understanding of where we are as a society, and where we may be headed.

Join Big Brothers Big Sisters at this elegant fund-raising luncheon and be a part of "Building Brighter Futures" for the children in your community. Tickets are $75 per person or $1,500 for a corporate table. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help to provide quality mentoring programs to 1,190 children, as well as to find mentors for the 265 children who are currently waiting.
