Tory has guarded optimism for Highway 10 widening

Dufferin-Peel-Wellington-Grey MPP John Tory expressed guarded optimism following the inclusion of the Highway 10 widening in Caledon village in the 2007 budget.

"It's only a mention," said Tory. "But I think we're making progress. I've had numerous conversations with Transportation Minister Donna Cansfield about the urgency of getting on with the widening of Highway 10 through Caledon. If the mention in the budget is any indication, she may be better at keeping her word than her boss Dalton McGuinty."

"Safety, the environment, the economy and consideration for the families of those who use Highway 10 through Caledon make this a top priority project. I will continue to fight for it until it is done," Tory noted.
