Voters' list incompetence

Your article Councillors tell MPAC about voter list problems (Citizen, March 14) provided the last clue in my investigation of the colossal, unbelievable stupidity and incompetence leading to my disappearance from the voters list after 40 years in Canada.

It started with the elimination of door-todoor enumerating, for no satisfactory reason that I could discover. After being rude to a lot of people, finally I found that it was all due to MPAC entering my postal code incorrectly.

And now, years later, it turns out that MPAC couldn't do the job anyway, not having access to the necessary information, and being too dim to insist upon this before accepting the responsibility for compiling the list.

The answer is, of course, to bring back door-to-door enumeration.

I used to suspect we were ruled by idiots. Now I'm sure of it.
