Make memories at Downey's Easterfest

The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance during Downey's Easterfest, running this weekend and next at the farm on Heart Lake Road.
Hop on down to Downey's Farm Market for Easterfest 2007. This year promises to be an exciting event. Lots of new baby animals will be making their debut at the farm during the festival.

The Easter Bunny has been preparing for months and is ready for the big Easter egg hunt, which runs 11 a.m., 1, 3 and 4:15 p.m.

Steve Baker the Magician from Abracadabra Magic will be performing daily at 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30. There is fun for everyone down on the farm.

Admission includes unlimited wagon rides, an Easter egg hunt, an Easter puppet show, face-painting, egg decorating and live entertainment. The Easter puppet shows run at 10:30, 12:30, 2:30 and 4:30. Wagon rides, face painting, egg decorating and farm animals continue all day.

A portion of the proceeds from hot dog sales on Easter weekend will benefit Princess Margaret Hospital's Weekend to End Breast Cancer, a 60-kilometre walk held Sept. 7, 8 and 9 in Toronto. Downey's Farm Market will be sponsoring two walkers.

Downey's is located at 13682 Heart Lake Road, just south of King Road.

Easterfest is open Saturday, March 31, Sunday, April 1, Friday, April 6, Saturday, April 7 and Sunday, April 8. Gates open at 10 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Admission is $8 per person. For more, call them at 905- 838-2990 or visit www.downeysfarm.on.ca.
