Elmer awards looking for heroes

Peel Children's Safety Village in partnership with Peel Regional Police, are proud to host the 14th Annual Elmer Safety Recognition Awards.

Nominations are now being accepted. Each child in Peel Region, including Caledon, from junior kindergarten through to grade 8 is eligible for an award. Children, who assisted their classmates, parents or friends and have performed at a level beyond expectations are eligible. Children should be recognized for heroic behaviour, good citizenship, or an outstanding safety deed, while contributing to a safer community.

As many as 10 children will be awarded during a ceremony, held at the Peel Children's Safety Village Saturday, April 28. All winners will receive a corporate sponsored trophy and a certificate from Peel Police Chief Mike Metcalf.

Deadline for nominations is Wednesday, March 28, so if you know of a deserving child that you wish to nominate, please contact Christie Hallett at 905-453-2121 ext. 4071, or e-mail at admin@peelsafetyvillage.on.ca.
