Town scores 97% in health and safety audit
By ALAN LICZYK Staff Reporter

Caledon council was very pleased with the 97 per cent score the Town received in its 2006 health and safety audit.

The audit draws out positive trends to occupational health and safety, on and off the job.

Incidents and accidents continue to decline.

The Town improved on its 86 per cent score in 2004 and 38 per cent in 2002.

Human resources staff commented the Town is committed to excellence in health and safety through proactive and progressive programs and training. The report was presented to council by human resources director Rebecca Moore- Whitsitt and health and safety co-ordinator Peter Malkowski.

"This is a good news story," said Councillor Allan Thompson. "You and your team need to be congratulated on a job well done."

"I'm very impressed with what you managed to do," added Mayor Marolyn Morrison.
