BAR class environmental assessment completed

      The class environmental assessment for Stage 2 of the Bolton arterial roads has been completed. Caledon council recently directed staff to file the environmental study report for public and agency review for a 30-day period. The road works north of King Street are referred to as the BAR Stage 2.

Town scores 97% in health and safety audit

      Caledon council was very pleased with the 97 per cent score the Town received in its 2006 health and safety audit. The audit draws out positive trends to occupational health and safety, on and off the job. Incidents and accidents continue to decline.

Tax ratios are delegated
      Caledon council recently agreed to the enactment of a Peel regional bylaw delegating the setting of tax ratios for both lower and upper tier purposes to the Town of Caledon and cities of Brampton and Mississauga for the 2007 property tax year.

Morrison is appointed
      Mayor Marolyn Morrison was recently appointed by Caledon council as Caledon's representative on the Highway 427 extension committee. Councillor Richard Whitehead was appointed as the alternate representative.
