Locals appear in Anne of Green Gables

Samantha Piper, Sarah Juliet Nadler, Laura Grossi and Jackie Omstead have all been seen in various productions over the last several years and now join the cast of Brampton Music Theatre's Anne of Green Gables.
Four local actors have joined the cast of Brampton Music Theatre's presentation of Anne of Green Gables.

Samantha Piper graduated from Mayfield's regional arts program in 2006 and is currently teaching vocal and musical theatre at Maura Music Studios and attending the University of Toronto. She has appeared as Elsa Schraeder in Sound of Music, BMT's Gypsy, Bye, bye Birdie and Into the Woods.

Sarah Nader is a grade 10 arts student at Mayfield. She sings soprano in the Cantate Doki Choir and is currently working on her grade 7 piano at the Royal Conservatory.

Jackie Omstead is a grade 10 vocal major at Mayfield Secondary School. She has appeared in BMT's Fiddler on the Roof and has performed in several operas with the Brampton Lyric Opera including Die Fleidermaus, Hansel & Gretal and will be performing in Il Pagliacci in the spring.

Laura Grossi goes to Pope John Paul School and aspires to a career in theatre. She has performed in many BMT productions including Oklahoma and Fiddler on the Roof. She was the lead in her school production of The Lion King.

Anne of Green Gables will be performing at the new Rose Theatre until March 10. Tickets are from $15 to $25. Kids go free! on Saturday, March 10th when an adult ticket is purchased.
