Dorado Stars swimmers soar at 2007 AB meet The Dorado Stars Swim Club sent 11 senior group swimmers to the 2007 AB Meet held at the Etobicoke Olympiad Jan. 19. The Stars athletes competed against 16 other clubs from the GTA area and achieved 27 top-10 finishes and 17 personal best times. Way to go Stars! In the individual female events, Esther Haines had an outstanding meet placing 1st overall in the 100m and 800m freestyle and 2nd in the 400m freestyle and 200m individual medley. Adding to the Stars success was Alana Colgan who placed 1st in the 100m backstroke, 3rd in the 400m and 800m freestyle and 4th in the 100m freestyle. Kristina Stojadinovic swam hard and finished 1st in the 100m breaststroke and 4th in the 400m and 800m freestyle. Kendra Colgan placed 1st in the 50m butterfly and 8th in the 100m freestyle. Paige Miller swam to a 1st place finish in the 50m butterfly, 2nd in the 200m butterfly and 9th in the 800m freestyle. Jennifer Heron placed 3rd in the 100m breaststroke, 4th in the 800m freestyle, 8th in the 200m individual medley and 10th in the 400m freestyle. Andrea Bracaglia placed 3rd in the 50m butterfly, 4th in the 200m individual medley, 7th in the 800m freestyle and 8th in the 400m freestyle and Grace Wilkinson placed 8th in the 100m freestyle. In the individual male events, Mark Bechtel placed 7th in the 800m freestyle and Tyler Bredshneider placed 9th in the 800m freestyle as well. Congratulations to all the swimmers that attended and Head Coach Brian Kelly in achieving these outstanding results.
