Caledon Centre looking for day aquatics staff

Are you a stay-at-home parent whose children attend school during the day? Or, perhaps you are recently retired and looking for a part-time job to complement your lifestyle. Your enthusiasm in working with children and mature perspective would be highly valued assets to the Town of Caledon's aquatics team.

The Town is looking to fill aquatics instructor/lifeguard positions at our three pools (Caledon Centre for Recreation & Wellness, Mayfield Recreation Complex, Caledon Central Pool). This position requires a commitment to weekday daytime hours, commencing in April.

"It is very rewarding to see a young child who is apprehensive about water develop into a competent swimmer," commented Kim Walton, aquatics program manager. "An enthusiastic and energetic instructor makes a positive difference."

So, if you have proficient strokes and enjoy teaching children, call the Caledon Centre (905-857-3313) for more information about the position responsibilities and wages.

Previous lifeguarding and instructing experience is preferred, but interested candidates can be trained to achieve the proper qualifications necessary to teach and lifeguard.
