WinterFeast off and running The menus have been written and the ovens are being heated in preparation for the 2nd annual WinterFeast: A Culinary Experience in the Hills of Headwaters. With the assistance of the Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association, 11 of the finest restaurants in the region will band together to offer special menus of their fabulous cuisine at very affordable prices. The restaurants participating in the 2007 version of WinterFeast are, The Belfountain Inn in Belfountain, The Terra Cotta Inn in Terra Cotta, The Consulate Dining Lounge in Caledon East, The Millcroft Inn & Spa in Alton, Hiding Inn Hockley in Hockley Valley, and One99, Il Corso Ristorante, Juniper Grill & Wine Bar, Seasons on Mill Street, The Train Station Restaurant and The White Truffle in Orangeville. Each WinterFeast restaurant will offer a dinner menu, and in many cases both a lunch and a dinner menu, at "prix fixe" rates of either $15 or $20 for lunch and either $25 or $35 for dinner. Each menu includes at least a three-courses making it an excellent value at any of these restaurants. This year, aside from the opportunity to enjoy great food at excellent prices, there is an added incentive for people to participate in WinterFeast - a chance to enter a draw to win one of the following prizes: a $100 or a $50 certificate to be used for a return visit to any WinterFeast restaurant, or a Gift Basket from The Wine Coaches. In 2006 this initiative proved very successful in encouraging those who live, work and/or travel in and around the area to sample the menus of the participating establishments. It is expected that the 2007 version of WinterFeast, which will run through March 8, will be an even greater success than last year. Visit www.winterfeast.ca for more information including menus and pricing at each of the participating restaurants, and contest rules. |
