OPP Report 1-888-310-1122 Caledon OPP Officers responded to 19 property damage and five personal injury collisions during the week ending Feb. 5. High Miler of the Week Thursday, Feb. 1, at 4:05 p.m., Officer Boles of Caledon OPP observed a motor vehicle traveling at an extreme high rate of speed on Highway 9 near Duffy's Lane in Caledon. A 16-yearold Caledon male was charged with Speeding-152 km/hour in an 80-km/hour posted zone. He will appear in court March 8 for the 72 km/hour over charge. Alcohol & Driving Saturday, Jan. 27, Caledon OPP officers conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 10 near Olde Baseline Road. The driver, 43-year-old Ray Richards of the Town of Mono is facing many charges as a result of the vehicle stop. Richards was held for a bail hearing charged with Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood, Drive Disqualified (x2), Obstruct Police, Unlawfully at Large, Possess Illegal License and Drive Motor Vehicle-No Currently Validated Permit. The vehicle that Richards was driving has been impounded under the Vehicle Impoundment Program due to his Drive Disqualified charges. Wednesday, Jan. 31, a vehicle stop on Castlederg Side Road near Albion Vaughan Townline resulted in the arrest of the driver. Sixty-five-year-old Ross Campbell of Caledon was charged with Drive Disqualified and Drive Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available. He will appear in court March 1. The vehicle Campbell was driving has been impounded under the Vehicle Impoundment Program due to his Drive Disqualified charge. Friday, Feb. 2, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Mayfield Road near The Gore Road involving three vehicles. One of the drivers was arrested on scene and charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. Thirty-seven-yearold, Rodney Elliott of Caledon will appear in court to answer to these charges March 15. Saturday, Feb. 3, a vehicle stop on Jolley Court in Bolton for a Highway Traffic Act offence resulted in a criminal charge of Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. Forty-three-year-old Anne Fyffe of Caledon will appear in court March 8. Break & Enter Saturday, Jan. 27, culprit( s) broke a glass window of a business on Holland Drive in Bolton sometime just after midnight. Three flat screen monitors and one computer have been reported stolen. Monday, Jan. 29, a Duffy's Lane residence was entered during the night hours through an insecure back door. A laptop computer has been reported as stolen. Tuesday, Jan. 30 a commercial business on Holland Drive was entered at around 10 p.m. by smashing of a glass window. A computer was stolen. Friday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m., officers responded to an alarm at a McEwan Drive business. A glass door was smashed to gain entry and a flat screen computer monitor was stolen. Drugs Friday, Feb. 2, a traffic stop at the corner of Ewart Street and Mount Hope Road resulted in a drug charge for the vehicle driver. Eighteen-year-old David Jenkins of Caledon has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marihuana and will appear in court March 5. Mischief Monday, Jan. 29, sometime over the weekend, an attempt to steal a semi-tractor occurred at a business on Betomat Court in Bolton. The driver side door lock was damaged and the ignition was punched, however, the tractor had not been moved. Recovered Vehicle Tuesday, Jan. 30, a backhoe that had been reported stolen from Toronto was located abandoned at the rear of a business on Piercey Road in Bolton. Police are requesting any information on suspicious movement of equipment particularly in the late night hours, to be reported to Caledon OPP - Caledon OPP, 905-584-2241; OPP Communications, 1-888- 310-1122 or Crimestoppers, 1-800-222-TIPS (2477). It is important to make note of any license plates numbers, equipment markings or company lettering on the equipment. Theft Thursday, Feb. 1, a wallet and cell phone have been reported stolen from a vehicle left parked overnight at a Hersey Crescent residence in Bolton. Domestic Disputes Caledon OPP officers responded to 10 domestic disputes between Jan. 28 and Feb. 3. Charges were laid in Caledon and Bolton Jan. 28 and in Caledon Jan. 30. |
