Cartoon worth a thousand words
      Congratulations to both the Caledon Citizen and the Enterprise for publishing very timely cartoons (Jan. 31). The "Ad" snake attacking Harper, and the Liberal policy paper relabelled as "Conservative" said it all.

Road network vital to all of us
      A letter writer recently stated that roads are a sinkhole of money. I would disagree and point out to this writer that they owe their standard of living to our road network. Everything the writer wears, eats or uses has to travel on our roads, and without roads our society would quickly break down.

Banks looking out for shareholders' interests
      It's been quite a while since I wrote in to a paper commenting on an article, but today I just had to. The column by Mark Pavilons (Huge gifts vs. huge profits, Feb. 7) regarding giving, and the Bank Of Montreal just has me steaming. No wonder some of these "commentators" have such a bad reputation...
