Experience Italy while earning credits

High school students are invited to participate in a learning experience that combines the sites, sounds and scents of Italy with courses that count towards high school credit. Ciao Italia, a program organized by the Global Learning Institute (the facet of Adult and Continuing Education at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board responsible for international studies), takes students through cities including Rome, Pompeii and Vatican City, exposing them to some of the best that Italy has to offer.

The program runs from July 1-26, 2007. Students have five courses from which to choose: two English courses, world history, Italian and drama.

The cost for the program is $4,600 and includes return airfare, tour transportation, accommodation and classroom facilities, breakfast and dinner, daily and lunch when not traveling on excursions, instruction by a Dufferin- Peel Ontario qualified teacher, excursions, all study tours as part of the instructional program for the course.
