Two drastically different videos from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment may appeal to everyone in your family.

Grudge 2

The curse continues in The Grudge 2 which cleverly continues this interesting Japanese tale.

A very good cast propels this suspenseful tale of a dark curse. Original producer Sam Raimi is back, along with Sara Michelle Gellar. The ensemble of Amber Tamblyn, Arielle Kebbel, Joanna Cassidy, Edison Chen and Jennifer Beals help raise the bar in this sequel.

Karen (Gellar) is in a Tokyo hospital, under investigation for the death of her boyfriend. Her sister Aubrey (Tamblyn) arrives to bring her home, but Karen is still in the midst of the dangerous curse, exposing her sister to the same dangers.

Zoom

The entire family will enjoy the comedic genius of Tim Allen, Chevy Chase and Courtney Cox in Zoom: Academy for Superheroes, coming Feb. 13.

Cpt. Zoom (Allen) is charged with taking a group of youngsters and honing their unique talents (superpowers) to save the planet from an evil foe. It's quite funny and the surprise is Chase, who's quite likeable as the odd scientist. But the movie belongs to the youngsters - Spencer Breslin, Ryan Newman, Kate Mara and Michael Cassidy who steal the show.
