February hearts and flowers at the Caledon seniors' centre February, the royal blue amethyst month brings sincerity and happiness to all. Our shortest 2007 month, 28 days, but for each of us a month full of eager anticipation, excitement and joy at our centre. A full schedule of activities, trips, lunches, dinners and special events to satisfy our anticipations and fill your month with. Hearts and flowers for all. You are our Valentines. All regular scheduled activities are available to you. 2007 Membership at $15/year is available anytime for you. Our incoming presidentelect for 2007-2008, vicepresident Monica Smith extends to you her personal welcome. "Hi! I just want to wish you a Happy Valentine for 2007. Wow! February already. All you people 55+ who haven't made a visit to the Caledon Seniors' Centre should make this your New Year's Resolution. We are more than an activity centre. Recently some of our members have began calling us the "Upteens" for that's the way we feel. Treat yourself kindly and drop in to our centre and see for yourself. Bridge and euchre and games, 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, noon lunch every Monday & Wednesday. 1 p.m., woodcarving, Variety Show practice. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 9 a.m. table tennis, 1 p.m. bridge & euchre & games. Wednesday, Feb. 7, noon lunch, February birthday & anniversary lunch. 1 p.m. bingo, Club Italiano every Wednesday. Thursday, Feb. 8, 9:30 a.m. PROBUS. Meet and greet, followed by speaker at 10. On tap, Mrs. Canada, Irene Serra-Sellito, Bolton resident who was successful in the Mrs. Canada Pageant held at Niagara Falls, Fallsview Hotel. She will talk about her experiences getting to the "tiara." M e m b e r s h i p s $30/member year now due. Visitors welcome accompanied by a member. Wednesday, Feb. 14, noon, Valentine Lunch. "Be Ours!" Thursday, Feb. 15, Smile Theatre presents "At the hop …will true love prevail." Noon buffet lunch, $20/person. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 11.30 a.m. Shrove Tuesday pancake lunch. $7/member, $10/non. Wednesday, Feb. 21, noon lunch, Ash Wednesday, with "chicken surprise." Wednesday, Feb. 28, noon pot luck luncheon. A St. Pat's special $14/Member, $17/Non. March 22, 9 a.m. bus leaves for a trip to Casino Rama. 5-hour visit, buffet & show. Return 5 p.m. $8/person. March 28, 10 a.m. Bus leaves for Stage West "Guys & Dolls." Buffet & show $57/person. April 30 to May 4. The Big One! Five-day, fournight getaway to Atlantic City. The Taj Mahal and "The Donald."
