Windy Hills Caledon organizes seminars and workshops

The following workshops have been funded by a grant from the Province of Ontario's Community Conservation Initiative Fund.

All events are free and open to the public. If you are interested in attending any or all of the events or wish to get more information, please contact Jen Heneberry, operations coordinator at info@windyhillscaledon.org .

Workshops

These are in-depth workshops that go into a greater level of detail about how to investigate and determine if a home system is right for your location. Work books and tools will be provided, along with access to equipment that will be useful for those starting this process. All of the workshops will be the different locations throughout Caledon.

Saturday, Feb. 10, 9 a.m. to noon, Caledon Community Complex; Tuesday, Feb. 27, 6-9 p.m., Caledon Village Place and Library; Wednesday, March 21, 6-9 p.m., Albion Bolton Community Centre.

Seminars/House Tours

These are informal seminars that provide information in an interactive session about renewable energy installations. Suitable for those new to the idea of renewable energy for the home.

Steve Eng, Enviro- Energy Technologies, will determine if a home renewable energy system is right for you. Talks will be held at the Alton Library, Wednesday, Feb. 21, 6-9 p.m.; Albion Bolton Community Centre, Thursday, March 1, 6-9; Inglewood Community Centre, Thursday, March 22, 6-9.

John Gilbert of Metalon, will discuss solar hot water installations at the Albion Bolton Community Centre, Wednesday, Feb. 14, 6-9 p.m.
