Local firm TBS has an eye on design

"Today is a brand new day - make it count!"

It is that sentiment, that goal, that drives Amanda Squire toward success every day, as a Bolton-based creative professional. Squire, who owns and operates TBS Design Group (The Best Solution), focuses on making her clients stand out from the pack, which is reflected in her tireless dedication and quality of her work.

Operating with everything from small businesses to large corporations and government, TBS is the creative force behind the brand marketing strategies of some the big players within Caledon and throughout the GTA.

Squire began TBS roughly seven years ago, running the business at home while raising her two children, until opening her Bolton office last August.

Shying away from the limelight themselves, brand marketers such as Squire, are responsible for the company's image, visibility, and consumer appeal. The nature of today's world is largely competitive, meaning you have to always have a leg up in order to obtain your share of the market and once you acquire it, you have to keep it and expand. These are battles in themselves.

It is essential to differentiate yourself from your competitors and this is where Squire comes in. Her services are as diverse as her clients and this hands-on creative director handles each new project with as much enthusiasm and dedication as the last. Squire helps to develop everything from graphic material, such as brochures and advertising to signage and entire brand campaigns, which are the necessary tools for the success of every business. TBS played a huge role in the 2006 municipal elections, with Mayor Marolyn Morrison achieving her goal of re-election. With the visual marketing print and Web material that TBS created for the elections, it shows the creative role Squire played in the success of these campaigns.

Each client's target market differs from the next and TBS is more than capable of constructing a ground-up brand image specific to meeting the target. She prides herself on her highimpact marketing and quality, neither of which is ever compromised.

Given the creative nature of the business, it's not always easy to please everyone.

"We work hard every day and constantly strive to be better at everything we do, and that dedication will always speak for itself at the end of the day," she said.
