Clarification about pageant

In a Jan. 3 story about Mrs. Canada it mentioned this will be the last time Canada Pageants Inc. will hold a Mrs. Canada or Ms. Canada pageant. A reader pointed out to the Citizen, however, that Canada Galaxy (www.mrscanadagalaxy. ca) is still holding a pageant every year to award a Mrs. Canada and Ms. Canada title. Canada Galaxy is the only organization where its national winners are awarded with the opportunity to compete at internationals representing Canada (www.galaxypageants.com). The reader added there are other pageants where married women can enter as an "at large" contestant and receive a national title (Mrs. Canada World, Mrs. Canada International, etc.).
