What's Hot on Video
Talking bears and dreaming of Jeannie
By Mark Pavilons

Editor

There's some magic coming to DVD this month, thanks to Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Open Season

A surprisingly hilarious adventure comes in the form of an unlikely bond between a domesticated bear and hapless deer in Open Season. Led by Martin Lawrence (Boog) and Ashton Kutcher (Elliot), this film features great computer animation, antics and music. Adding excitement to the story is hunter Shaw (CSI: NY's Gary Sinise) and a Braveheartlike squirrel McSquizzy (Billy Connolly). It's a fun romp through the woods and makes for great family viewing.

Jeannie 3rd Season

Some classic TV dramas are worth watching over and over. I Dream of Jeannie: The Complete Third Season, will appeal to today's parents who grew up watching Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman. The four-disc box set features all 26 episodes from the third season in 1967/68.

That season included three episodes shot in Hawaii, and guests Bob Denver, Don Rickles, Milton Berle, Mike Farrell, David Soul, Don Ho and Phil Spector. Revisit Jeannie today.

It's a pleasant surprise when your eight-year-old daughter gets up early on a Saturday morning to watch Jeannie.
