Enter your community in the Kraft Hockeyville 2007 competition

Canadians are busy making personal promises and self improvement resolutions for 2007. This year, why not make a resolution that benefits your community as well? Something that combines fun, fitness, community spirit and great prizing - enter your community for a chance to become Kraft Hockeyville.

Canada's coolest competition is back, and you only have until Jan. 22 to enter your community for a chance to win the title of Kraft Hockeyville 2007. Kraft Canada, CBC Television, the National Hockey League (NHL), and the NHL Players' Association (NHLPA) are searching for the community that best embodies the passion of hockey and hometown pride. Is your community Kraft Hockeyville 2007?

In addition to bragging rights and the title, the winning community will receive a trophy, host a oneof a-kind NHL hockey event, featuring NHL players both in the community and in on-ice action, and receive $50,000 to be used for upgrades to the publiclyowned arena that the winning community endorses. But be prepared - plenty of Kraft Hockeyville 2007 wannabes are ready to check your community into the boards!

Whether it is a small town or situated in a big city, like Leaside in Toronto, South Shore in Montreal or Kitsilano in B.C., all you have to do is produce a short video, up to three minutes long, that proves why your area should be crowned Kraft Hockeyville 2007, highlighting hockey passion and community spirit. Visit www.cbc.ca/hockeyville for more information and to download the application form.

February 25, CBC Television will air a look back at some of the exciting events from last season's winning community of Salmon River, as well as a special look at Kraft Hockeyville 2007. In March 2007, the top communities will be announced and voted on by the public. The winning Kraft Hockeyville 2007 community will be named live on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada March 17, 2007, and will be featured in a CBC Television special to air in the fall.

Five communities will also have the chance to win a merit prize by showing their commitment to Kraft's five Fs: fun, fitness, family, fairness and food. For more information on how to vote for the community you would like to win a merit prize, please visit www.cbc.ca/hockeyville beginning Feb. 5.
