Minor atom Hawks win two and tie one
      The Cavalier Minor Atom AE Hawks gained another five points in their push to first place. Caledon 4, Kitchener 3 Kitchener came to Mayfield only to go home frustrated. Early in the first, it was all Hawks.

      Paul Mearns is the Mayfield Maverick Athlete of the Week. Paul, 17, won a gold medal and two bronze medals in swimming at ROPSSAA recently. In the 50-metre fly he won with a time of 29.70.

      Swimmer Adamo Tersigni is the current Humberview Husky athlete of the week. Adamo, 14, earned three top-three placings at ROPSSAA recently. He took silver in the 100m I.M., bronze in the 50m free and 100m free.

Blackhawks unbeaten streak continues

      Taking a much deserved break, Caledon’s Erin Mielzynski of the Women’s Ontario Ski Team is turning heads on the Nor Am circuit. She has had an incredible start to her season. Racing her first Nor Am in Lake Louise Dec. 8 she was 23rd from a 45 start position.
