Celebrate new year at WinterFest

The Town of Caledon is pleased to host the fourth annual WinterFest Sunday, Jan. 7. Bring your family to join friends and neighbours at the Mayfield Recreation Complex from 1 to 4 p.m. Food, hot and cold drinks, and a special WinterFest cake will be served. The best part is that the entire celebration is free!

“WinterFest is a wonderful occasion to unite our community and celebrate the New Year,” said Mayor Marolyn Morrison. “Events like WinterFest really demonstrate how community involvement contributes to the strength and character of Caledon.”

There are some fantastic activities planned, including skating, face painting (with hypo-allergenic face paints), and children’s crafts. The Amazing Andrew will perform magic tricks, and a strolling Winter Princess from Fantasy Fables will sing, pose for pictures and sign autographs. Remember to bring your camera.

A family swim is planned, and residents can try out Mayfield’s one-metre and and three-metre diving boards. Each family will also have an opportunity to enter a draw to win a gorgeous holiday gift basket.
