CCS appreciates community support

Thank you Caledon! You rose to the challenge.

When residents and business owners of this community pull together and take a good hard look at their social responsibilities, things occur in Caledon. Big things. That's exactly what played out at Caledon Community Services' Annual Gala Nov. 24, our most successful event in our organization's 35-year history.

More than 200 guests had a wonderful time and couldn't help but experience an ambience of real determination to effect change and do good work in our community. And beyond that, there was warmth, great humor, good food and music and a guest list that included the pillars of this blessed and generous community. The support provided to the Gala was extraordinary; ticket sales, sponsorships, and auction items delivered fantastic results. As we spoke of the difference our Gala will make to hundreds of chil- dren, youth, seniors and entire families, every single person in the room became part of the CCS family; a family that takes care of its own in our community, a family that steps up to the plate in ways that are simply extraordinary.

It has been said that a single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions and the roots make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves. Thank you Caledon for your kindness. You're the reason CCS makes magic happen over the holidays and throughout the year.

May we take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy holiday season, peace and good health throughout 2008. And please accept our deepest gratitude, on behalf of the entire organization, for your outstanding support on behalf of our community and our wonderful health and social service agency, Caledon Community Services. Monty Laskin, Executive Director Stan Shabason, Chair, Board of Directors Caledon Community Services
