Cairn, plaque for Scouts

Caledon council recently supported the installation of a cairn and plaque on the Caledon Trailway near the Highway 10 pedestrian bridge in honour of Scouts Canada's 100th anniversary.

Scouts Canada is donating the cairn and plaque to the Town.

Town staff noted Scouts Canada has been a strong supporter of the Caledon Trailway, planting trees at various sites and adopting sections during the trail's 24-year history.

The First Caledon Scout Group has agreed to supply and install the cairn and plaque and will be responsible for maintenance and repair when necessary.
