OPP Report Traffic Caledon OPP Officers responded to 18 property damages and two personal injury collisions during the week of Dec. 11-17. Alcohol & Driving Thursday, Dec. 14, 53- year-old Harvey Westover of Everett was charged with Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood after he was stopped at a RIDE spot check on Heart Lake Road and The Grange Side Road. He will appear in court Jan. 25, 2007, in answer to the charge. Thursday, Dec. 14, Caledon officers responding to a traffic complaint received from a motorist on Airport Road, located the alleged erratic driver near Old School Road. A vehicle stop was initiated and 54- year-old John Gowland of Caledon was arrested. He was subsequently charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. Court date has been set for Jan. 25, 2007. Thursday, Dec. 14, a vehicle stop at a RIDE spot check on Gore Road near Patterson Sideroad resulted in charges for the driver. Fifty-year-old Barry Ellis of Brampton was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. He was held for a bail hearing Dec. 15. Sunday, Dec. 17, officers conducting a RIDE spot check on Old Church Road at Innis Lake Road stopped a vehicle as part of the spot check. The driver, 30-yearold Joseph Ivanusevic of Brampton was subsequently charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle-Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in 100 mls. Of Blood. He was held for a bail hearing to be held Dec. 18. Break & Enter Monday, Dec. 11, sometime over the weekend, a business on Old School Road was entered and cash was stolen from within. Monday, Dec. 11, a Healey Road business was entered during the night hours. A digital camera has been reported stolen. Friday, Dec. 15, a window of a door was smashed allowing access to a home under construction on Heart Lake Road during the night hours. All of the new appliances had been stolen. Drugs Wednesday, Dec. 13, a vehicle stop for a traffic violation resulted in a charge for the driver, 19-year-old Joseph Kriegizas of New Tecumseth. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marihuana and will appear in court Jan. 15, 2007. Mischief Monday, Dec. 11, two vehicles parked overnight at separate Silvervalley Drive addresses in Bolton were entered, however nothing was reported taken from either vehicle. Sunday, Dec. 17, a rock was thrown through a window of a home on Autumn Drive in Caledon Village during the daytime hours. Stolen and Recovered Vehicles Monday, Dec. 11, a vehicle was located abandoned at Old School Road and Chinguacousy Road in a field. It had been previously reported to Peel Regional Police as stolen from the Mississauga area. Damages had been caused to the ignition and radio. Thursday, Dec. 14, a vehicle that was listed as stolen by Peel Regional Police was located abandoned on Boston Mills Road, west of Airport Road. There were damages to the vehicle’s steering column and the stereo had been removed as well as all four tires. Thefts Tuesday, Dec. 12, a vehicle was entered while left parked at a Beehive Drive residence in Bolton during the night hours. Cash was reported stolen from the vehicle. Wednesday, Dec. 13, welding cable and remote control were stolen from a welding rig in a yard on Airport Road. Sunday, Oct. 22, an unlocked vehicle at a Frank Johnston Road address was entered during the night hours. A wallet was reported stolen from the vehicle. Tuesday, Oct. 10, a business on Simpson Road in Bolton was entered during the night hours. Culprit(s) had broken through a gate and drove over a fence to gain entry. A trailer containing kitchen cabinets and clothing was stolen from the yard. Criminal Charges An arrest has been made in connection to a search warrant that was executed by the Caledon OPP Street Crime Unit Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 8:30 a.m. Caledon OPP Street Crime Unit assisted by Caledon OPP Major Crime Unit, Community Response Unit (CRU), Highway Safety Division Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Provincial Auto Theft Team were all involved in the execution of the original search warrant at 16363 Hurontario Street in Caledon. Several items were seized at the time of the warrant including vehicles, licence plates, power tools, fraudulent documents and instruments. Thursday, Dec. 14, 64- year-old Michael Serviglio Vlacich of Caledon turned himself in to police at the Bolton office in regards to his outstanding arrest warrant. He was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime-Over $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime-Under $5,000 (X2), Fraudulent Concealment (X2) and Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon. Vlacich was held for a bail hearing Dec. 15. |
