Sensory Garden celebrates the holidays with extravaganza

Friday, Dec. 15 Sensory Garden Child Development Centre held its annual Christmas Holiday Extravaganza 2006. This year’s theme and concert was entitled “A Nutty Cracker Production” in which the children of Sensory Garden danced in costume to various pieces of the “Nutcracker Suite” complete with sugarplum fairies.

Aside from the performance the evening was filled with children’s activities, sweets & treats, world’s largest Christmas stocking (filled with toys). The winner was Ashley Ames, many prizes and a very special visit from Santa. There were more than 300 people in attendance and the evening was a great success.

Thank you goes out to the teachers and staff of Sensory Garden: Melissa Anderson, Lani Cracco, Ivana Lastoria, Laura Matson, Heather O’Malley and Ruth Ridley. They worked extra hard to help the children prepare their wonderful family gifts (that were presented that night) as well as the choreography for the concert.
