Enrolment increases

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic district school board had an enrolment of 88,877 students as of Oct. 31 which represented an overall increase of 126 students from a year ago.

Elementary enrolment decreased by 1,084 pupils while secondary enrolment increased by 1,210 students.

At Caledon schools, the enrolments as of Oct. 31 were 520 for Holy Family,

838 for Pope John Paul II, 491 for St. Cornelius, 804 for St. John the Baptist, 680 for St. Nicholas and 1,861 at Robert F. Hall.

The Ministry of Education mandates the submission of Oct. 31 and March 31 enrolment and staffing data to determine and verify eligibility for most grant categories under the education funding model.
