Region of Peel holiday hours

Many Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 25, 2006 to Jan. 1, 2007 and will re-open on Jan. 2, 2007.

There will be no waste collection in the Town of Caledon Tuesday, Dec. 26. Garbage, recycling material and organics (in designated areas) will be collected one day later during that week. There is no change to waste collection in Caledon for the week of Jan. 1.

During the holidays, the Region of Peel’s Community Recycling Centres and the Caledon Sanitary Landfill Site will be closed Dec. 24 to 26, Dec. 31, and Jan. 1. On all other days during the holiday season, these facilities will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Ontario Works in Peel will be closed Dec. 25 through Jan. 1, re-opening Jan. 2.

The Peel Heritage Complex (PHC) will be closed Dec. 25 and 26, and re-open Dec. 27-29, 2006 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The PHC will be closed again from Dec. 31 to Jan. 1 and will resume regular hours of operation Jan. 2.

The TransHelp office will be open Dec. 27–30, 2006 with regular vehicle service available, but will be closed Dec. 24-26, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. Taxi service will be available Dec. 24-26, 31 and Jan. 1, from 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.

The Malton and Bolton Healthy Sexuality Clinics will be closed from Dec. 22, to Jan. 1, 2007.

Needle Exchange Program services will be closed Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1, resuming Jan. 2.

Peel Health reception at 44 Peel Centre Dr. will be open 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Dec. 27-29. It will be closed Dec. 25, 26, 31 and Jan. 1, reopening Jan. 2.

All Peel Public Health Breastfeeding Clinics operate by appointment only. The Breastfeeding Clinic at the Meadowvale Town Centre and Peel Public Health Breastfeeding Clinic - Brampton will be open Dec. 27-29, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Meadowvale and Brampton clinics will be closed Dec. 25, 26, Jan. 1 and will resume regular operating hours Jan. 2.

The Peel Public Health Clinic – Malton will be closed Dec. 26, but open for regular hours of operation Dec. 28. The clinic will resume regular hours of operation Jan. 2. The Peel Public Health Breastfeeding Clinic in Bolton is closed Dec. 22, 25, 29 and Jan. 1. The clinic will resume regular hours of operation Jan. 5.

Smoking Cessation clinics will be closed from Dec. 22 to Jan. 1.
