Caledon East woman wins CASH FOR LIFE prize

Heather Kitto of Caledon East displays her cheque for $675,000 which she won playing CASH FOR LIFE.
Heather Kitto of Caledon East was ecstatic when she realized she scratched three LIFE symbols and won the top prize of $1,000 a week for life on her instant CASH FOR LIFE ticket.

Kitto was presented with two options for her prize payout. After careful consideration, the 43-year-old personal support worker at a retirement centre in Orangeville, opted for the $675,000 lump sum prize.

“I was so shocked, I started screaming,” Kitto told OLG Prize Centre staff in Toronto when she collected her top prize Nov. 3. “Then I did my own happy dance. This is absolutely exciting.”

With the windfall, Kitto plans to take a family vacation with her husband, Chris, and their two children and buy a new vehicle.

“I’m not going to quit my job, but this windfall will allow us to invest and think about early retirement,” Kitto added.

The winning $1,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE instant CASH FOR LIFE ticket was bought at IGA on Airport Road in Caledon East.

CASH FOR LIFE offers winners the choice of receiving $1,000 a week for life or a one-time payment. Kitto chose the $675,000 lump sum prize.
