PJP WINS AUTISM AWARD
Thursday, Dec. 7, Pope John Paul II School received the newly created Emmanouela Dimas Award for

Outstanding Fundraising Effort for the Toonies for Autism Campaign at a very emotional assembly. To

celebrate their 5th anniversary , the Toonies for Autism Committee established these two new

Emmanouela Dimas awards. St.Dominic School in Lindsay won the Outstanding Community

Involvement Award and Pope John Paul II School in Bolton won the Outstanding Fundraising Effort

Award. In addition to receiving a commemorative plaque, the school received a $1,000 donation cheque

to be used towards a service, resource or fund of the school’s choice. Special thanks to the school’s

dedicated Educational Resource Workers for their efforts towards raising Autism awareness and this

fund-raising campaign. Since Toonies for Autism began five years ago, Pope John Paul II School has

raised the most money in the province each year! For more information on how your school or business
