Fair in Toronto and donated it to local charities. This year it bought the Queen’s Guineas entry of Britney Livingston

of the Peel 4-H Beef Calf Club and donated half of the beef to the Salvation Army Family Life Resource Centre in

Brampton. Melody Watson of the Salvation Army Family Life Resource Centre, accepts the beef from Dave

Jackson (far right), president of Peel Mutual, and Bill Jefferson (centre) of Jefferson Insurance Agency in

Brampton, who kindly paid for the cutting and wrapping of the beef which was done by Broadway Farms Market

on Heart Lake Road in Caledon. The other half of the beef was donated to the food bank in Sunderland and Gary

Brethour of Brown & Brethour Insurance Brokers paid for the cutting and wrapping of that half of beef. The total

amount of beef donated is close to 700 pounds.
